To become a consignor, email a summary of the items you would like to sell to twilightestatesales@gmail.com. We generally look for items with a likely resale value of at least $10 per item and ask that consignors have a minimum of approximately 25 saleable items.
We are not currently accepting furniture and only accept clothing from select luxury brands.
If your items are approved, we will schedule a drop-off appointment at our office. All consignment items are sold through our online auction platform to a large network of verified buyers. Please note that auctions start at $1, and final sale prices depend on bidder interest and market demand.

Our commission rates vary based on the condition of the home, the amount of labor required, accessibility, item quality, and the services being provided.
Typical commission structures include:
40% Twilight Estate Services / 60% Client for standard estate sales and auctions.
50% Twilight Estate Services / 50% Client for projects requiring significant cleaning, dust removal, smoke remediation, or additional preparation; and for consignment sales at our facility.
60% Twilight Estate Services / 40% Client for projects where our team is responsible for extensive sorting, organizing, locating saleable items, or combining auction services with clean-out assistance.
Because every project is different, a final commission rate is determined after reviewing photos and discussing the scope of work. There is typically no upfront charge for estate sale services, and our goal is to structure each project in a way that makes sense for both the client and the work involved.

For clients who need items removed rather than sold, estate clean-outs start at $2,495. Our Refresh & Reset Sessions, which provide hands-on help with decluttering, organizing, and getting started on a project, start at $250.

No. Twilight Estate Services does not purchase items outright. Instead, we sell items through our online auction and estate sale platforms, where they are exposed to a large network of verified buyers who compete through bidding.

We also offer consignment services for qualifying items and can recommend the best selling method based on the quantity, quality, and type of items involved.

Not at this time. Twilight Estate Services was established before Twilight Thrift Shop, and the thrift store was created as an extension of our estate sale and clean-out business to provide another outlet for items recovered from estates, downsizing projects, and clean-outs.
Unfortunately, Twilight Thrift Shop in Jersey City closed in May 2026 due to a property redevelopment and consolidation project by the landlord. While we are actively searching for a new retail location, our core business continues to operate, providing estate sales, online auctions, consignment, clean-outs, downsizing assistance, and organizing services throughout New Jersey.

No. We are not a traditional junk removal company. Our focus is on estate sales, auctions, clean-outs, and identifying items that may have resale, donation, or recycling value before anything is discarded.
For full estate clean-outs, we can coordinate dumpster rentals and work with trusted third-party junk removal partners as part of the project. However, we do not offer stand-alone junk removal services for common household garbage, construction debris, or large furniture removal outside of a contracted clean-out project.
